Transport Services Limited (TSL) is a foremost indigenous logistics transportation company that provides customized transportation and logistics solutions. We currently operate out of five locations spread across the Western and Eastern regions of Nigeria providing logistics services to stakeholders in the oil and gas, mining and construction, FMCG and Agricultural sector.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Terminal / Station Assistant

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist the Terminal officers to oversee the facilities at Bus Stations to ensure proper maintenance
  • Ensure proper queue management at the Bus stops / Terminals
  • Assist bus Captains in to ensure proper loading procedures are adhered to
  • Supervise the validation and invalidation of passenger tickets / ticketing system.
  • Ensure accurate head count of Bus passengers
  • Assist the Terminal officers to oversee adherence to Bus schedule.
  • Ensure that bus station procedures and emergency plans are adhered to at all times
  • Work with the Terminal officers to ensure all relevant passenger information materials are current, available in good quality and posted within the Bus Station
  • Respond to passenger complaints and enquiries
  • Undertake any other duties consistent with the position, and as required

Health and Safety:

  • Ensures compliance with all health, safety and security regulations and policies
  • Ensures that adequate and effective risk assessments are undertaken and regularly reviewed
  • Liaises with Head of HSSEQ on any Health, safety or security problem which you cannot resolve.

Education

  • Ordinary National Diploma (OND) / Higher National Diploma (HND). Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) {lower credit, 2nd or 3rd class} in Social Sciences or any other related discipline, from an accredited higher education institution.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Planning & organizing
  • Effective communication
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel

Experience:

  • None required.
  • 2 (two) years post-qualification experience in transportation or logistics environment, is an added advantage.

Knowledge:
The incumbent must have basic knowledge in the following areas:

  • Understanding of basic health and safety regulations.
  • Experience in passenger transport service operations

Skills:
The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills:

  • Proven written and oral communication skills
  • Team player, self-motivated and result driven
  • Close attention to detail and proven personal integrity
  • People skills
  • Willingness and ability to work weekends and evenings as required

  • Must be resident in Lagos State.
